Nikita Thakkar is a chartered accountant who spent years in banking and consulting. Through all of it, every spare moment and every hard-earned week of leave belonged to the road: mountain passes and island coves, great cities and quiet villages, very often on her own.
Yumora is that passion, shared. She knows how precious your leave is, because she spent years counting hers, and she plans every journey as if she were taking it herself.

What does Yumora mean?
Yumora joins two Japanese words: yume, a dream, and sora, the sky. The name holds the two halves of every journey we design: the place you imagine, and the distance you cross to reach it.
How is this different from booking a package?
A package is built before anyone has met you. Every Yumora journey starts with a conversation and is drawn from scratch around your pace, your stays, the way you eat and the moments you care about. No shared coaches, no fixed departures, nothing copied from someone else's trip.
Who plans my journey?
Every journey is shaped by Nikita Thakkar, our founder. One planner stays with you from your first message to your last evening, and is reachable while you travel.
Do you help with visas for Indian passport holders?
Yes. We tell you exactly what your destination requires, when to apply and what to prepare, based on official sources we check regularly. The decision always rests with the embassy, but you will never be left guessing.
I am travelling solo. Can you plan for me?
Gladly. Nikita often travels solo herself, so well-located stays, sensible arrival times and who to call if plans change are built in from the start.
Can you plan around vegetarian or Jain food?
Yes. Tell us how you eat and we plan restaurants, hotels and the days in between around it, so meals are something to look forward to rather than worry about.
What does a Yumora journey cost?
It depends on where, when, how long and how you like to stay, so we quote once we have talked. You see what every part costs and why, with no hidden mark-ups.
How far ahead should I get in touch?
The earlier the better for school holidays, peak seasons and the smaller hotels that fill first. Shorter notice is often still possible, and we will tell you honestly what is open.
